My 3r had an argument with a kerb following an embarrassing error of judgement a few weeks ago. Mainly cosmetic damage, but big thanks to the guys at the factory for restoring her back to full health.
It was really interesting to have a little tour, the M14 did look very nice in the flesh.
The factory were courteous, efficient and patient with me (Julie as well!)
Cheers

Mine was just plain stupid.
Approaching a roundabout, 70mph, chucking it down, soaking wet road. Plenty of time to break to a sensible speed, in fact, I thought, ah, wet, slippy, I'll take the roundabout in 4th to start, and if enough grip, got to 3rd.
Well, 5th, straight to 2nd! Missed bloody 4th, back wheels lock. Back end almost pointing at the roundabout, managed to pull her round, front wheel taps the kerb and has an almighty pendulum effect on the rear, bang. One bent rear wheel.

I get the impression that the understeering into a curb on a roundabout cock up is one of the most common
People tend to try and brake whilst piling on more lock in that situation, which is just about the opposite of what you should do. www.carlimits.com
Anyway glad your cars are sorted now

Hi Dan
I was not on the roundabout, car went sideways caused by me, being stupid, changing from 5th to 2nd by mistake in the wet.
Yep it was diceman that did the roundabout thing, I was referring to the fact that I know a few others have done that
As the previous owner warned me, a Noble doesn't understeer in the dry, but it can in the wet.Gassing Station | Noble | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
