Any ideas guys?Do any of you use a special polish?I used auto glum super resin on my Elise fibreglass body but can't seem to get rid of swirls and paint looks smeary on my azure blue m12.Any ideas or is the paint job a bit suspect?

Maguires clay bar or any other clay bar. Don't forget lots of elbow grease.

A clay bar wont remove swirling or scratches. If it's really bad I'd get it to a professional detailer for a full paint correction

As said. You wont be able to remove swirls by hand. You may be able to reduce the appearance of them with certain polishes/waxes but only because they contain fillers.

Ideally you want a pro detailer with a machine polisher. Since its fibreglass you need someone that knows what they are working with.
I used SOS detailing on mine. looks great now

As above. Only way to correct it is by machine polishing but beware as you don't know how much paint you have to play with unless you have a paint depth gauge.
There are some products on the market that will improve the finish however my preferred solution (literally) is Poor Boys Black Stuff http://www.poorboysworld.co.uk/cgi-bin/pbw.cgi?Com...

Not sure a paint gauge works on fibreglass.

Best way to do it is to get a DA eg, meguiars. It's hard to damage the paintwork with a DA and results are fantastic for an amateur.
