Can anyone link me up to the correct lead so I can plug my laptop into my 3R to adjust the adaptive settings?

Pretty sure it's not that simple. I think there is something non standard about the correct lead in terms of voltage protection/management.

The correct lead needs a couple of resistors fitted to protect the ECU.

Some people have been able to get away with using a standard 9 pin serial cable but I didn't want to risk it so made one up from the above schematic which you can find on this link:
http://www.sbdev.co.uk/Engine_Management_Systems/E...

Think you can also buy ready made cables from SBD but its an easy and cheap job to make one up.

Cheers,
David.

Also, while I'm peddling my wares... I have a CTEK battery conditioner left over from the Nob days. Has the cigarette lighter adapter so you can charge it that way, or via the battery leads. £40 if anyone is interested! As new. smile
