Are seats interchangeable?

I'm going to get a local leather specialist to repair my drivers seat as there are some light scuffs and a bit of wear to the leather in high wear areas bolster etc. They need the seat for a couple of weeks so I was thinking about swapping in the passenger seat so I can still drive the car in the meantime.
Does anyone know if they are easily interchangeable? I cant see any obvious differences between the two sides but if anyone has any advice before I strip them out it would be greatly appreciated!

yes seats are interchangeable... can't you borrow some seats in the interim period? I have spares you could borrow but I think I'm miles away from you lol

Hi Andy,
Thanks for the advice and seat loan offer but yes I think you are around 350 miles away from me so nipping down to borrow them and then bring them back would cost me about the same in petrol as a new pair of seats LOL!!
The passenger seat is mint so I'll just swap that over until the drivers seat is sorted.
Don't see me being out much in this weather though!!

If the passenger seat is in good order and you don't plan on having any work carried out to it then why not just leave it fitted in the driver's position and bolt your repaired one into the passenger side when you get it back?!
