Hi chaps,

Does anyone that has had their car corner weighted have the actual weights for each corner?

Alternatively, does anyone know the rough front:rear weight distribution?

Would Fr:Rr of 40:60 be about right?

Thanks

Graham

Hi Graham, depends on the overall weight of your car but hope this helps -

Hi Kev,

Brilliant, thanks mate. smile

I'm trying to get to sprung corner weights - any idea of the wheel/tyre weights that were on the car at the time?

My car is at 38fr/62rr % Corner weights worked out very similar to Kevs, just a tad lighter on the front end.

Overall weight now down to 1035kg at last weigh in.

mine around a year ago

the issue with GTO600, Hollowpockets and my car is that they are all a very very long way from standard, for example Kev has carbon wheels and no air con, grahams is stripped to bear essentials with moved battery etc and mine has a single turbo and various carbon panels... all these mods move the weight around slightly

This is mine from centre gravity last month, standard in the way that nothing has been removed from the car, full tank of fuel, speedline wheels with pilot cup tyres. If anything, I've added weight due to extra coolers etc.

With an empty fuel tank car would have been close to its quoted 1080kg.

With me in the car total weight went up to 1225 kg with the following corner weights:

Front Left: 237kg
Front right: 256.5kg
Rear left: 354.5kg
Rear right: 376.5kg

Thanks for all the answers guys!! smile

So, I take Andy's point about differences between cars, but it looks like 60% at the back is a pretty decent average for total weight distribution.

I actually want to try to estimate sprung weight, so I need to estimate the unsprung weight - which will also vary with wheels & tyres of course.

I'll initially guess between 100 and 150 lbs per corner - closer to 100 at the front and to 150 at the back, but not sure.

Any takers?

Thanks again!

I have rear uprights, shocks and wheels and tyres all in the garage so I can give you some reasonably accurate figures tomorrow evening

Cheers Andy - only if you have time and it's no trouble though mate!

I just weighed my rear ProTechs and they are not as heavy as I initially guessed - they are just under 8lb.
