Yeah, it was a bit of shame, this is a Noble, but look at this Aston instead....

Not sure I agree with the Mini being the greatest British car either.

And he stands in front of an M400 (list £56K) and says you can get into a Noble for under £50K - yeh, right!

I'd let them get into mine for under 50k. Wouldn't let them drive it though, might have been to the Telegraph school of car control.

I don't understand why the negative chat to be honest.

I shall quote from the program:

"a sub 50 grand GT that handles like no other I have driven".

That to me is reason enough to be happy

Yep, along with a monastry quiet cabin, plush interior and a fantastic hifi.

Regardless, the whole thing was fixed so that they could 'give away*' a car. Its pretty obvious it wasn't the best car.

I thought it was really good that they were bragging about how good our car industry/design/motorsport is at the moment instead of doing a Top Gear take the piss out of everything style programme! Was good to hear chief designers from other countries/car manufacturers giving our talents a thumbs up. Moving an entire car operation from Germany to the UK and following so many other manufacturers takes balls.

Good program for a 30 min slot, pity it isn't longer.

I love watching Top Gear but I feel that sometimes there is no way you could choose a car from the info they give and the comparisons they do are classes apart and yet they still try to compare. ie Monaro/Jag and Dub 300(Chrysler). I mean what's all that about lol?!?! The Jag has a supercharger and is classed as an R spec car, the Monaro is a GT and the 300 is a limo with brutish good looks. None of them are remotely in the same category but it still makes for fun watching and their locations are top.
