Either 6 points or a few week ban. Longest they can do u for is 52 day ban. 500 quid fine no points. Or 500 quid and 6 points.

A friend is in a similar position at the moment, his was a 91 in a 70 (non motorway).
He was in North Yorkshire, there are apparently slightly different policies in different force areas.
Here is a link relating to policy in Norh Yorkshire, parralels should be able to be drawn from it?

Good luck.

A family member of mine got caught over 120mph. His lawyer advised him to sell the car before his court date as it displayed a degree of repentance and claim "the car was too powerful for me and I've sold it already, learning the error of my ways" - sentence was greatly reduced. Now, the same lawyer never suggest to "sell" the car to a friend or family member because that would be immoral whistle.

Their going to let me know in the next day or two my average speed

It's also worth mentioning. He did get a ban (3 months from memory), but his insurance was less after that than before. Why?.... because he had 9 points already. If they just gave him another 3 points he would have had a min 6 months ban by default. When you get a ban, the points get wiped clean and you start again, all be it with a ban - hopefully for less time than for receiving 12 points.

Silver lining and all that.

I thought Speed Limit +30 was the general rule but it's all down to the judge on the day I guess?

I don't think I was doing 120mph! Surely a ban would be on your records though? at the moment I have a clean license. He said he followed me from Hemel Hempstead all the way to Tring, approx 8 miles. I spotted the Volvo following me a mile or so before the lights came so I'm hoping the speed came down a bit.
Annoyingly I've only covered a few hundred miles in it this year!!

In the States here it is all about just money and paying fines where I live.
They even have speed cameras set up and if you speed a ticket comes in the mail with a photo and amount of fine you need to pay.
If you pay the fine it doesn't even go against your record.
Glad I was not caught on this day.

You might not see a Court until the middle of next year, so don't do anything hasty. They will send you paperwork showing the speed involved. If might be worth taking some proper legal advice if 100 or more.

Someone I know dodged a ban at just over a ton, as he needed his licence to do his job at a garage.

Speed limit was 70mph non motorway apparently he was doing 120mph and I was pulling away, but it was only briefly then he followed me for a mile or two at the speed limit. I was told he has to review the footage and work out my speed over a certain distance. Not sure how accurate they can measure it though!

They don't really care about your hardship. It's better to concentrate on the hardship it will cause any others if you can't drive for a few weeks.

I was caught a few years ago doing just over 100 on the M62. I thought that was it but I didn't hear anything more for some reason, you may have they same luck mate. I have been banned before and received a 28 day ban. If you lay it on saying you will lose your job and so on they will take it easy with you. Good Luck bud!

I can see why most only use on the track! I had the same problem when I had bikes.
Anything fast usually gets me into trouble or ends up costing a fortune.
