I've got a set of TT vents and I'm wondering if I have the right ones.
Are they a direct swap or do you need to cut some of the dash away?

I removed the old vents yesterday and the TT ones are bigger and deeper.
Are you suppose to split the TT vent and just fit the front section and not the rear twisting unit?

Just make the hole bigger. I used a drill with a sandpaper wheel in the end. Worked great. The pipe work does fit over the vents with a bit of help.

Be careful not not cut the hole too big as the tt vents don't have much margin for error. They are slightly different shape so the ducting will need stretching a bit to fit over.

Thanks lads.
I'll finish off the stereo and rewiring the interior lights and maybe have a go at this next week.

I made a cardboard template to fit over the TT vents which I then stuck to the original holes then used a Dremel with a sanding tool to enlarge the hole until the vent was a tight fit. Have someone there with a vacuum as the dust it creates is horrific! I then used good old duct tape to secure the round tube to the square vent!!
