CARBON FIBRE FRONT CLAM RADIATOR GURNEY STRIP
Discussion
ive asked my carbon guy to supply me with a gurney strip that was tested in the wind tunnel aero mods. this is the strip that sits on the opening on the front clam where the air exits the radiator. this strip is also claimed to produce front downforce.if anyone else is interested then let me know, and il get him to make some for interested parties.ive been quoted £35 per strip,so thats what they will cost to fellow noble owners
they will be 1mm pre preg carbon fibre.
they will be 1mm pre preg carbon fibre.
It does increase front downforce, but it reduces rear downforce by a larger amount so the net effect is reduction overall.... It's purpose is to balance the aero of the car overall.
Might want it to be slightly thicker than 1mm as they tend to distort a little and not look as good as there are gaps :-)

Andy I take it raising the rear wing evens this loss out?? Might want it to be slightly thicker than 1mm as they tend to distort a little and not look as good as there are gaps :-)

That's cheap tony. That's a good price. As I paid about £80 from reverie. That's a bargin. You need to do the carbon uprights tho they will be 1mm pre preg carbon fibre.

i know its already been done, but from what ive seen, il be buggered if il pay £89 PLUS VAT plus postage for one, and would be interesting to see what the gurney strips go for at the "autosport show".!!!!
