Knocking from passenger side rear air vent

Hey

Before I book it in for inspection anyone know what this noise is? I guess its fairly localized.
Just behind the air intake to the bottom of the passenger door in the sill. If you stand on that side of the car you can hear a mechanical knocking.
Also when you turn the ignition key what ever it is over that side that turns over is making a "different noise"
Is that the location of the fuel pump? or something else?

Any ideas?

Yeah, it sounds like your fuel pump is fooked. Which one do you have?

Ah right o.k
Hmmm, need to check paper work. Its an uprated fuel pump as its got the M400 conversion.
Back to Jetstream then. To say i've only used it a hand full of times in the last 5 months of ownership its not going well so far!

Your spot on, fuel pump is in that pod in front of n/s wheel but it may be straining due to collapsed fuel pipe or blocked filter rather than being knackered. If it was me I'd start by stripping and cleaning before replacing anything.
