Hi Guys,
Looking to replace my battery seeing as it died pre-winter and I will be looking to get the car back out once the roads are better.
Is it worth taking the time to try and re-locate this internally or is this only for the hardened track cars amongst us? If so I may end up with something smaller which can tuck behind the seat. I quite like the limited storage that the car has behind the seats though.
cheers

Hi Euan,
I started relocating my battery this past weekend behind the seat.
Too me the Hardest part was just getting the buried battery out.
I am thinking it will be 1 of the best things I did.
I dilled 2 holes, used tank fittings to run the cables thru the wall, bought longer cables and mounted a battery box.
As soon as my cables arrive I will hook them up, drop the battery in the box and will finish it up.

Not sure what type of battery design you're going for or what, if any, are the UK/EU rules for placing a battery inside the car but in the US...
NHRA rules require any battery mounted inside the cabin to be contained inside a metal box that vents to the outside of the vehicle and that an external battery switch be installed on the car.
This may, of course, relate to lead acid and not gel type batteries.
