Going to fit twin 044 fuel pumps, my question is fuel filter
Before the pumps or after. Anyone got any good ideas. I am looking
to get about 530 to 550 bhp.

Twin pumps, filter after the pumps, done. You can get an all in one cradle from bosche with the two 044's and a filter. Great piece of kit. 520bhp is bags full, any more you'll start breaking things.

Why do you want twin 044 pumps ?
Unless you just want a spare, one is more than enough & easily capable of the power you require also without modified fuel tank connections & pipe work etc your just going to cause problems.

my twin 044's are much much quieter than when I had the single on the stock fuel tank setup.

I fitted my aeromotive filter after the pumps just before the rail.... I do however have sock filter on the lifter pumps that feed the swirl pot so I guess I have both a before and after filter.

As Kev says for 550bhp you don't need two 044's... just get the single one fed correctly and it will be more than adequate!
