install carbon rear view mirror
Discussion
hi all, ive just got a lovely carbon fibre rear view mirror to install into the noble. went to remove the standard one,and the question is, whats the best way to remore the old arm that is stuck to the windscreen without damaging the screen? i dont want to scratch the black painted area,so getting a blade between the arm and screen doesnt seem an option.
do i need to use a bit of heat from a hair drier??
someone must have removed the arm without any dramas, any help would be appreciated.

t myself that i may break the screen, but was all ok in the end.
That's good then. I was going to say be careful with the heat but sounds like you got away with it..
t myself that i may break the screen, but was all ok in the end. because my car is tucked away, the screen was pretty cold so i gently warmed up the top section of the screen to slowly raise the temp then concentrated on the mirror arm to warm it up to the point of the glue going soft. all done now and a distant memory.lol enjoying the new one now.
