First post, Ive jsut been lurking a few days and decided it was time to say hi, and ask a couple of questions.
Im considering joining the Noble owning community but have a couple of things lurking in the back of my head..... How do the cars cope with the growing amount of speed bumps, do they fit over them, or are they a no-no? Also, are people, in general, happy with their cars?? (Odd question I know, but what the hell).

Yep - it goes straight over the "square" ones, and the big sleeping policeman just take at a slight angle. You can also either go for the "sport" front splitter, get the car raised by a few mm all round, or some people remove the splitter altogether.

I really only drive mine around London and haven't had any serious problems (the Marcos TSO and Audi Quattro are much worse...!)

Rob,
I can honestly say that there is no difference whatsoever in day to day driving. The only time I noticed a change is when I did a trackday in 36 degrees C, and then the only difference was the water temp. was up by 1-2 degrees, and back to normal by the end of the cooling off lap.

Martin.

PS - edited to add...only had the AC on max maybe 4 times.

Dave, where abouts are you in North East ?

I'm on the Gateshead side of the river and would be very happy to discuss Noble ownership.

Cheers,
Ian.

Ian, Im also on the Gateshead side, little village called Sunderland. Would be good to hear from an owner that has to drive on the same roads as myself.

No problems with speed bumps yet.

Don't want to teach how to suck eggs, but it is always around this time of the year when the roads are really greasy, especially for new Noble owners to be over enthusiastic with the right pedal.

Remember to be progressive and smooth on the throttle (and off) and not 'MASH' the throttle in the first 4 gears. It's great to have a sideways moment when you expect it and can handle it. But not so good when do don't expect it.

Have fun, and be careful out there, or it can leave an expensive bill at Christmas time.

Cheers,
Ian.

PS: Nice Noble calender shot. (Sorry for being smug)

Good advice but there's no need to leave it in the garage all winter ... had a stonking drive today!

Agree about the roads. I had two fishtails putting the power down fairly gently yesterday. Fortunately I was going straight and they sorted themselves out
