Hoping someone can help me with a puzzling fault on a 2004 Noble 3R I have in my garage
It is really difficult to start (flattens the battery) but goes eventually & the problem is no different weather hot or cold.
Once started it runs & drives perfectly no misfires & boosts fine etc
So far it has had new cam & crank sensors
It has a good spark
Compression test all ok
Fuel pressure primes to 3 bar (at the rail)
I'm at a bit of a loss with it all to be honest & the lack of diagnostic port doesn't help!!
Thanks in advance
Neil

Sounds like a ECU fault , have you checked the bulkhead relays , im pretty sure one of them is the power feed to the ecu , wonder if it is knackered .
I've checked what I can unfortunately there isn't much info available for these carsAny idea which of the relays it is??

does it bump start easily? does it restart easily once its finally fired?
I had a sudden ecu fault years back that meant the car wouldn't actually fire... bumped perfectly... it was an ecu fault.
No car wont bump start & has a strong spark but no fuelI had a sudden ecu fault years back that meant the car wouldn't actually fire... bumped perfectly... it was an ecu fault.
Think I have cracked it though I found that the relays by the ecu have been messed with before so pulled them out & one has been opened up & put back together with insulation tape!! after swapping them around it started straight up the owners just taken one & gone to get some new ones.
