Has anyone made enquiries to the fitting of the boxed type cover on the M400 side vent to be fitted to a 3R? Firstly is it a straight fit no messing and what is a rough cost from the factory?
Interesting that you mention this Tony as, if I ever get into M400 ownership, I'd like the side pods removed!

The engine oil cooler sits behind one of the vents - given the pathetic amount of air that the vents gererate normally I'd imagine that'll be a really bad idea!

How about side pods from the race car - look much better IMO.paulcundy said:
The one at the front is not an oil cooler, its a cooler for the power steering. Used on early models it does not do anything useful and has I think been dumped.
Ahh now it makes sense. I thought they had gone through a lot of trouble to put an oil cooler at the front of the car, when a small unit like that could go anywhere.

FYI, one of the US installers is also working on an air scoop for the intercooler inlet. I'll post something when they get it done. (Taking the rear license plate off should help a lot).
Hunt out the post from our resident expert Monsur. P Cundy....

You mean the scoop right? The numberplate seemed to work by all reports.
