Quick question for the UK owners. Who do you use to insure your Noble as my current insurer (Adrian Flux) had never heard of the car!!?

THB Egger Lawson Ltd - www.competition-car-insurance.co.uk/
M400 cost just under 1000 GBP limited to 5000 miles pa.

I suspect I'm going to have to increase the mileage limit

Richard,

That's the thing, you don't really know how many miles you'll do in your new toy when you start-out. I went for 3000 miles - then upped it to 5000 and have now added a further 1000 miles (6000 is the limit on my policy)! On renewal I'll be looking for more like 10000 miles p/a just in case I take in a continental trip or two! Having said that, others here regularly do over 12000 miles p/a.

An M400 breaks their (and direct line and all other deriviatives) on-line tool. You therefore have to ring up, but depending on who you hit you "loose" the 5% discount.

Try ringing back a few times saying "it's broken, but can I still have my 5%" and you'll eventually (I've found) get someone that will give you the 5%.

Ask them to "speak to the underwriters", as otherwise you get fobbed off.

Just had our renewal from Tesco; shoot up to nearly £ 1200 p.a. from last year's £ 975 despite no crashes claimes etc.

Tried Lloyds insurance via the Net and with same parameters now "only" £ 751.00 for our 1 year old 3R

Worth a try?

Yes, it's a pleasant surprise to be planning the extra mileage.

BTW Egger Lawson didn't mention a limit, just that it would cost x amount per extra thousand. I can't remember what "x" was, but at the time it seemed a reasonable figure.

I went with MSM that one of the chaps on here recomended (Rob I think). The main reason was got a quote for £800 and they gave me full no claims on this to mirror the no claims on the MR2 even though they don't insure my other car.

Would have preferred a big company with call centres, internet access etc. but given the deal they gave me can't complain.
Rob.

Tesco, full business use for self and Mrs £600. Fully expect next years quote to be way more as Tesco's seem to have an annoying habit of upping 2nd year premiums

Dave,

Another broker who lists both the 3R and the M400 is Autotorque. Their number is 0161 278 5226.

Direct Line and from memory I think it was quite reasonable.
