Just placed my order. They've had nine orders today. Noticed that an m400 went for £170k at a charity auction. Anyone here?

Yeah that was pretty impressive. Seeing as you are buying something can you write any of it off against tax?

Be nice to be that wealthy either way

How does that work exactly?

I don't think it does, thats what I was asking. Its just that over 100k of that was effectively charitable donation. If thats the case presumably everyone would have been better off if he'd given the money in a tax efficient way as he could have then given more and ended up no worse off, and bought the car at retail.

Sounding like a tedious accountant now though so I'll shut up and stick to what I know*.

If you can afford to pay around 3 times the price for a car, I don't think you worry to much about the most tax efficient way of doing it

Looks like they have not quite decided on a Gearbox for the M14 yet....

Plus they have missed off one of the service centres - can you guess which one?

But Justin, from what you said in the opening thread I though you offering to buy everyone presents, and I know you'd hate yourself if you got me something I didn't want!

Martin.

Yep, that's how I read it too!

As you're clearly minted Justin (ref: the number of new cars on order!), I'll have the leather luggage set, thanks very much mate!

PS - why isn't the car cover listed that they have in the stores?

You young whippersnapper! I think Nick should tighten your leash.

Martin.

PS - might I remind you that Rob and I are not affected by the same weather!
