Top Gear TV is worth watching this Sunday (19th)...

Also, please buy Auto Express on December 29th. And keep an eye out for Used Car Buyer, What Car? and Test Drive (March issue, out at end of Feb).

Our US friends should watch out for the Noble Story on Car & Driver TV on January 15/16th, and then again on Spike TV on April 2/3rd.

Simon,

Thanks for the US heads up. Great to see some "local" press for Noble. The posting of the non-US articles (when you legally can of course) is also appreciated.

I have the first Noble in the state of Missouri and get almost hoarse from answering questions about the car every time I'm out.

Thanks again,
-- Mike

Thanks for the compliments on the car. They did a good job of getting it to the states with no scuffs.

BTW Ash GTO 3R - They put the wheel on that side because I like to shift right handed.

Simon,

any chance we can get the relevant excerpts from your round the world tv coverage onto the website...or links to the same on others' sites?...if there are copyright issues, maybe you could compile a DVD of tv media coverage for us enthusiasts to acquire?

cheers, M

...yes, there are copyright issues. TV companies usually want huge amounts to have their clips broadcast on websites. I hate to think what the BBC would want for a clip from TG.

Simon,

Nice bit on Car & Driver for the U.S. gang. I'd say they liked it a bit.

Thanks for the heads up.

Just saw the Car and Driver segment from today. Nice piece but it didn't really do the car justice. They didn't say anything like, "will out perform any Corvette, F360 or 911 TT, etc". They were however, very positive about the handling and performance. They agreed with the label "Best British Driver's Car". They did publish a 0-60 time of 3.3 seconds. I don't think mine will quite do that. 1G must have put some special petrol in the car!

Anyone scanned the mag in? Not the easiest thing to get in the UK.

This was actually on the TV show "Car & Driver". I wasn't able to do a capture though. Maybe one of the other U.S. gang did.

I caught it on analog video tape. Not sure what to do to turn it into a digital video clip. it was about 4.5 minutes long.

You can go to their website. www.caranddriver.com to see a little preview of the show when you go to Watch Car and Driver TV section of their website it's at bottom of the page.
The main reason they "didn't compare it any other cars". Is that since it's a "Kit Car" techincal in the States it wasn't fair to compare it to anyone other car.
But for the price of around $80,000 the car was a bargain.

Also I forgot to add. The track they are using is called Gingerman Raceway in Michagan www.gingermanraceway.com and the show airs on a channel here in N.America called Spike TV www.spiketv.com also this episode of the show will repeat a number of times in the future they've got thirteen episodes cycle with a several month break inbetween the end of one new block to the next.
So if you in GB happen to come over sometime in the future for a holiday.
You meet want to keep a look out for it if you are over on this side of the pond.
