If this is of any use, here is a US company that has a triple suction cup mount for the window.

Martin, Andy G had one too, but he's away at the moment, so can't ask him what it was. It did fit the rollbar nicely though.

The one Andy had is the type I want. I think Pauls is the same.

Martin,

Its an SC2 on this page :

www.b-hague.co.uk/Mounting%20Brackets.htm

You might want to consider getting a wide angle bullet cam though. Either that or get a wide angle adapter for your video camera. It gives a much better impression of speed, and you can actually get a decent view out of the car. I do find that I have to remove the rear view mirror for decent footage too, but thats a right pain

I've got the SC2 with double ball joint and I use a wide angle lens on my handycam, then fit the whole lot of the front roll bar just alongside the rear view mirror. Tucked up on itself with the camera wedged right up against the roof it gives a fabulous wide angle view of the entire front clam plus full width of the road which is what you need to get an idea of speed and capture the cars as you pass them.

Some marshalls don't like this (pasengers head hitting it etc) so you then just put the whole lot on the rear roll cage and tighten the zoom a little.

I also have a bullet cam but never actualy used it yet.

I reckon a bullet cam mounted on the rear wing might look cool if it can see enough over the shoulder of the car. Might not quite get the shot I have in mind, but the type of thing you see in Evo where you can see the wing, and the road ahead.

I use the b-hague mounts (suction and clamp) although the clamp is just a Manfrotto which you should be able to get from most photographic shops.

I've also got a bullet cam. Positioned down low to the ground it gives a really good sense of speed, attached to the rear wheel arch gives a good view of approaching cars along with the reverse spoke effect as seen on old westerns!
