My black M400 finally here. :)
Discussion
It's super super dirty, and still needs engine & tranny install, but it's here.
Wasn't able to get a lot of good pictures since it was dark (and already in the garage), but here they are:

I can't wait until I can actually drive it!

gotapex said:I was wondering that! Mine def. have the M400 centre bits, but I think Martin had it the other way around, M400 centres on his 3R?!?
Hehe. ![]()
I wonder why the European M400's get wheel caps that say M400, while the US ones all say 3R.
gotapex said:There is a bigger "squab" under the thighs as standard is the only thing different AFAIK between "old" and "new" but don't quote me on that as I really haven't had chapter and verse (and the squabs are removable AFAIK so an "upgrade" would be easy...)
BTW, what's different about the "new" M400 seats? The only difference I can see is the "Sparco" name.
The main change seems to be the fabric has been changed since the early ones to that lovely all over suede/alancantara/whateveritis -
From memory the logos are all optional as the covering is done at build time to match the interior - so you can't really tell what is what it seems!

Facinating, that looks very much like the one Lee showed me that was based on the Focus WRC car. It seems to have a sump-in-a-sump design with that plate, presumably it stops big "waves" occuring within the oil starving the central pickup.
Very clever!

Gabriel, great photos and what fun you'll have putting your new toy together - GET THAT BIG GRIN OFF YOUR FACE! :-)
A question (for anyone), what's the short bar (around 6-8") parallel to the road-wheel in the suspension photo - is it perhaps the anti-roll bar?
Cheers.
PS - I still can't understand why a 425bhp (I think?) car still has that stupid noddy horn fitted - factory?!

It's legal, and if, like me, you want a "real one", it's not that hard to change it (heck I even posted instructions on here for them...)

Why did it break? Did you leave the horns sticking upwards? If you did then dirt can work it's way in, best to point it downwards and forwards ala my piccies me thinks.

Hmmm, since it was returned from the factory recently it is sporting a chunk missing out of horn cowling and is making a throttled sound - these m'laud are simply the facts! ;-(
I must admit mine faces forward and level (I couldn't point it downwards) so water ingress could have caused the failure (but not the damage!). V2 will have a modified bracket!
Hmmm, black, a but boring n'est pas?!
