I cancelled the AMV8 order I had - have you seen what they have done to the front?
Totally ruined it![]()

sorry Joust, but I hope you mean you sold your slot...I've heard some slots are going for 10-15k - (or were you way down the pecking order and not being given the exclusive access and insight your noble nobility #1 order affords you?!)
To be honest, IMHO the AMV8 is drop dead good looking in the photos (in a way the M14 only truly reflects in the flesh)

When I saw the spy shots of the AMV8 and went *urgh* (if I wanted a car with a droopy mouth I'd buy a Puegeout 607), I then contacted the dealer where I'd registered my place on the list.
Without going into details it transpires that I was on the "second" list, not the "first" list. The first list is apparently for existing customers and "people they like". This is despite having confirmation from the dealer of my letter to them.
To be honest AM can therefore shove their £70k+ up where the sun doesn't shine, and I just will not talk to them any more.
If that's the attitude that existing customer's get their orders served first over and above any other customer, rather than doing it in chornological order, then I have absolutly no intention of moving marque.
Not that I suppose it will worry them much, their dealer they sent to me when I contacted the head office was so arrogant it demanded £3000 there and then to even talk to me! Even better is that they wouldn't confirm that the money would be held in an interest bearing client account.
It since transpires that that was the only dealer in the country that did that (the one that turned out to be nearer to me hasn't taken any deposits yet according to someone else I know that is on the list there). If the car didn't look so ugly from the front 2/3rds I might be arsed to take it up with head office, but as I don't like it now I've seen the final version, I can't be arsed. Life is too short.

I have both M14 and AMV8 on order. AM wanted £5k (before the car was even a confirmed build - I phoned AM and they were NOT pleased).. so I swapped to another dealer and am on the list for the supercharged version (2007 - no deposit taken).
From all I've heard the non-supercharged will be a tad slow - slower to 100 than my estate car! - which is no good at all
(OK it might be a bit quicker on the corners and *cough* whilst braking).
Meantime... bring on the M14! - which I got a letter about last week saying it was being put back 6 months

Had to laugh at the bit where it said Lee has been racing the M14 this year.
