Hello Chaps,
Given a suitably long barge-pole, would you (or would you not) touch an ex-demo dealer M400? 2004 car (September) 3000 miles, larch silver, the "new" seats, armourfended, MP3 player, air-con... a nice spec. Considering trade-in on my 3R. I've always been slightly hesitant on ex-demo cars, but what's the general concensus? Assuming that there's no history of accident damage and everything is in good order (tyres etc), what would you say was a fair trade-in price? Can't stop thinking about the fun I had in the 400; Porshe may have to wait a little longer.

Well, i bought Cristopher Neils Ex Demo M400, but it was only 3 months old, with 800 miles on it. No problems so far, but only had it 6 weeks. bought it because it was £5k cheaper than a new one, and couldn't wait for one after I'd taken it for a tst drive.

For a 5k discount I'd do it too.
Depends a bit on if you like the spec. I'd not buy one in silver for instance, but if you are happy with it and the price is right, it sounds like a nice plan! It does depend a bit on the dealer though. Have a test drive and see if they make you respect the car and not over rev during running in etc.

I keep asking myself the same question but is it really worth spending another 15k or so,for the road the 3R feels slightly quicker to respond and i dont track.Guess its different for those that do track?
Yep I wouldn't bother for purely road use either.
Of course I guess it depends on how long it takes you to earn 15k!
