Croft Trackday dates!
Discussion
As mentioned previously we now have the dates for our TVR/Noble trackdays at Croft circuit near Darlington. They are Wednesday 27th April and Wednesday 27th July. Numbers will be limited due to only allowing 15 cars on circuit at any one time, so if you fancy it book early! Usual format, loads of track time, instruction available, workshop support etc. Contact Jill on 01434 601666. Thanks

Sounds good, especially april, how much for the day?
Sorry for taking so long to come back with a reply! The days are £199 for the full day with £30 for an extra driver. Instructors are available and this is exclusive track use so lots of track time and restricted numbers. We will only have 15 cars on track at any one time, and will use 20 minute sessions. Also we will have technical back up there as well for those last minute mods and tweaks!! Thanks and best regards, Tony Abrams
Yes we operate courtesy cars which can be booked at the time of arranging your service.
What's the problem with sessions? With only 30-35 cars there you'll get approx 3 hours of potential track time. We have tried both ways of operating and find that open pit lane means that at some point, after the initial rush to get out, you can ned up with a handful of cars only circulating around. With sessions of 20 minutes people seem more 'focussed' on making sure they get out there, and 20 minutes is about as long as most people can concentrate fully for esp if it's new to them! Thanks, Tony

I've never got on with them as I'd rather go out in the car when *I* feel ready, not at some allotted time. It also means people come back in when they are tired, rather than feeling they have to stay out until the end to "get their money's worth".
Also, as I always wait for the "rush" to die down, there is always less traffic out there which is a positive good thing.
I've only ever seen cars crunched at sessions, never seen it at any open pit lane track day I've done. Perhaps that's not normal, but I really don't like sessions for the reasons above.

Sessions. Blurgh. Sorry but I will not go to a track day with sessions. Open pit lane or no go.....

You've done goodwood though? I thought that was always sessioned due to the stupidly small amount of cars allowed out?
PS. I agree with you re open pit lane, but will make an expection for Brands indy as it is such a small circuit and I love it.
