I heard a rumor that the new cars are coming with Garret T3 turbos now. Any one know anything?

Wow, big turbos. That would be an interesting change.

If this is true - it will make the existing M400's de-value!!! etc. ah well there is always room for improvement I say.

Having said that the I think T3 translates to T30 which would mean bigger turbos - probably too big. I thought the Std Cars had T25's and the M400 T28's or are they the GT version (Newer and more efficient with ball bearings)?

I sort of doubt it. GT28R's are pretty much perfect for the HP (the mid 400 range on a 3 liter engine). T3's would give you more lag, and no greater performance, unless you're aiming for higher boost (and more HP). A GT28RS (disco potato) would be a good compromise between the 28 and the 3 if you're going for well over 500hp.

We've never changed the spec of the turbos on the current production models. They still run T25s (3R) and T28s (M400).

Love to know where these rumours start from!
