Hi,
Thinking of swapping my Tuscan for a Noble, anyone on here done so?
Not very happy with likely engine problems occuring with the Tuscan, any known problems with the M12 cars?
Thanks for any help and advice.
Pete.
I done this last year Pete. Best choice I ever made.
My 3R doesn't give me any mechanical problems that have left me at the side of the road. Noble's are far better built and much more reliable IMHO
The engine starts first time every time. Yes I have some little cosmetic issues but nothing major that has made me think I would want something else.
Hi Pete,
Make sure it DOESN'T have the Magnetti Marelli ECU. These were a bit of a mare to say the least! If you get a sorted one, you end up with a great car.
The ECU is the most important, otherwise the track day sump and solid brake line upgrades are good to have, but not essential. You may also be able to find one with the factory power upgrade. Other than the ECU, my 2.5 has been a dream - to drive and to own.
Owen.

Thanks Lucosade,I will probably only be able to afford the 2.5lt ones around 2002/3, do you know if these one's are alright?
Pete.
I believe there were some minor issues with the older ones with regards ECU's. The newer cars are much better in terms of build.
I'm sure you will no doubt get a few replies of this sort.
Use the Search facility, there has been loads of discussions like this in the past.
No need to get hung up about early production Nobles like you would with a TVR.
Having inspected a number of 2.5 models, there is IMHO, an underlying consistency of build quality and engineering integrity.
As mentioned in earlier posts, check for the Magnetti Marelli ECU. Search this forum and you will discover very few other common concerns - make the transition and you will sleep sounder!(IMHO)
SMR costs will not be dissimilar to your Tuscan.
