A set of long jump leads work.
1) Open rear clam shell, battery is on the off-side
2) Attach leads
3) Start other car, leave about 30 seconds
4) Start Noble, leave ticking over for about 10 minutes
5) Stop Noble
6) Remove leads
7) Start Noble, go for a drive.

This normally works for me, when I forget to attach the Accumate.

'scuse my ignorance but aren't you supposed to switch off the donor car engine before starting the Noble or doesn't this matter these days?

Or, if it's too awkward to do that, find the master fuse (if it's a 2.5l it's on the rear bulkhead, otherwise look in the manual) - it's a 60A one, take it out, turn around 90 degrees, put one "leg" back in to the battery side, so that the other "leg" of the fuse is hanging in the air.

Now attach the battery charger red lead to that free leg, and the black to the bodywork (black first!), and leave it charging for about an hour.

After an hour or so, put the fuse back in properly and start the car. An hour of an 8A charger is usually enough to turn over the car.

Erm, to see what you're doing in the dark - sorry El-J but you asked for that one! :-)

Have just been told that it protects the electrics if there's a power surge, is that right? ( I'm ignoring the snipes, I've had too much to drink!)

I'm sure the fuses would do a better job?
