How about this Sunday 13th for a meet somewhere around the Cambridge region? Think there are a few of us here now.

I have just been pointed in the direction of a rather interesting airfield in Suffolk that I am told is "free to use" on Sundays. Sounds like a good place for me to get to grips with "full throttle"

Bring the Noble!!!
I would quite like to go to the Silverstone TVR museum as the TreVoR speed 12 (1 off road going version) is there from today till Monday only. Worth a look.

Could make some arrangements if there were a few of us up for it.

I'm interested to know about this free airfield on a Sunday, can you take your car on it and get some use out of it like BBC TOPGEAR or is it just used as a carpark for car clubs?

I have been chatting to a chap about it at

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=161901&f=23&h=0

He mailed me offline to say its ok on Sundays as there are a few units there now. Its a little bumpy so you would not want to be following someone else for fear of big stone chips.

There is a bit about one near woodbridge too.

I am still keen to go to the silverstone TVR place for a day out in the nre toy. Any takers?

Obes, where would you meet me? Would it not have to be at Silverstone if you live in Northants and me in Cambs.?

If you come down the A14, then A43 we could hook up at the services at the M1 J15a / A43 services. It's only a 15-20min blatt to the circuit from there.

Just to say I think that going to Silverstone tomorrow could be a bad idea as there is a half marathon going on and 20k people are expected. Maybe a run around here would be a better idea.

Obes, will have to meet up some where else or another day. Let me know if your heading out for a ride and we could still meet for a beer (sans alcohol!)
