HELP
On one of the trackdays, I lost the alternator belt, no prob, fixed in minuits.
BUT, there are two pipes, for cooling, from the offside vent. I think one was broken when the belt went. Were are these pipes supposed to go?
Also, the battery, there is a square whole under the car, should this have a cover?

Hi guys - first post ever so I thought I would give this topic a bump...
Was with Ash at the weekend when we found this issue and very interested to hear mods or standard config positions for the hoses. Basically all air collected from the main side pods is badly routed and gives no cooling effect to the central engine / head area.
The pipes basically look 'torn' and take the air no further than a few inches into the side of the bay. At speed I can only think this is carried directly backwards, completely missing the engine.

They do look a bit of an after thought Dan but it is impossible for us to tell if the transmission belt has torn ours off and left it even worse.
On the offside, one points squarely at the alternator / Poly 'V' belt, whilst the other was turned down hill with its open aperture sat down squarely on top of the battery ???
I was thinking some air fed to the head area on the centre two cylinders, just above the shield on the front turbo would not go a miss.
Other issue: Big hole and little battery means a gaping hole 8" x 10" in the under tray at the side of the battery - is this normal as I would expect it to effect the ground effect ? Was thinking of dropping a full size piece on Ali in below the battery ???
