Dear All,
There have been a few psotings about fans that keep on for too long. Well my fans wired up to blow air down through the rad towards the ground! - i.e. in reverse to the normal air flow.
Not suprising they stayed on for so long. Now they are wired to "pull" they are on for just a few moments each time.
Regards

Paul,
Wasn't your car overheating when going down the road? Seems like the fans would offset any incoming air and the result would be stagnant flow and overheating until you could stop the car and the fans would then take over (blowing in the wrong direction but cooling nevertheless). Happened to me after installing a new set up on one of my cars and I had inadvertantly hooked the fan wires in reverse. I discovered it whilst standing in front of the car and scratching my head over why it was overheating.....felt the air blowing on my feet in front of the car.....knew that wasn't right! Lightbulb came on...switched wires and everything was cool again.

NO not mine, way back in 2001 I doscovered removing the front number plate helps but it was other cars that were boiling over, due to hot spots in the rads, now cured (like so many other early problems) with the appliction of the shroud.
