Hi All,
I guess this might be the wrong place to ask such question as you all seem to love your cars. And you should
How ever I would really like to know what you DON'T like about your car?
This kind of things are ipossible to find out during a short test drive. I'm really leaning towards this exellent car but I would love to know the dark side in advance.

Thank you
Ted

The thing I like the least aboit my car is that the windscreen wipers are too high up the windscreen. Small price to pay!

I don't like parking her back in the garage, seeing mud on her, filling up with fuel twice in a day, people saying they have never heard of a Noble, paying the monthly hp payment (but its worth it), getting more attention at meets than ferraries and porches, the screaming noises that are emitted from passengers mouths................you get the idea.

Buy it, but it, buy it.

I don't like...

- the Noddy horn (so I changed it!)
- the fiddly clamshell fasteners
- the headlamp pods that mist up
- the windscreen wiper movement that isn't always smooth
- the gearchange (now improved)
- the steering whee (so I changed it!)

As you can see all very serious items (not!)

Hope this helps!

My 60Ks worth of commments on my M400 in no particular order:-

. I added a steering wheel extender
. I replaced the noddy horn
. exhaust brackets broken twice (fixed under warranty)
. ECU replaced (under warranty)
. Turbo vacuum pipe came off (fixed under warranty)
. throttle cable melted (replaced under warranty)
. Wiper assembly came apart (fixed under warranty)
. W/screen washer bottle connectors came apart (60s for me to plug it back in to fix it)
. Rear wheel arches pebble dashed to hell (um, fair wear and tear?)
. Wing mirrors don't stay their position.
. Rear light connector not secured properly so started to melt against hot exhaust (fixed under warranty).
. I replaced the JVC speaker with Alpine ones for 40 quid (and can hear some bass now)
. Rear indicated light intermittent (fixed by me fiddling with it for a few mins).
. Turbo heatshield vibrates when hot (TADTS but I wish mine didn't)

Basically all of this has been "outdone" by prompt service from dealer and advice from factory, and the fact that it's a stonking car to drive, has wonderful steering, supercar performance, fine handling and balance, a good gearbox, proper engine noise, wonderful non-fading brakes, oh and it looks good as well.

In short, highly recommended

As a matter of interest, just how low is the front of the car? (Any chance someone could run outside & measure height & distance from centre of front wheel to front so I can compare with my last car which scraped on the drive due to splitter/lower springs!).

If you push really hard, you can squeeze a packet of fags under there.

It is 11.5 cm actually.

Can't believe I just went outside in the rain with a ruler for you.

My girlfriend now thinks I am really very sad!

Sorry M8. My missus already knows I'm really sad, so not surprised I've just been out to compare Unfortunately the splitter that scrapes is 13cm so lloking like it rules out a Noble. Time to move house!

Don't like...

1. Turning circle of the QE2

2. Having to screw up my eyes when seeing pebble in road (see previous splitter comments)

3. Having to comb what's left of my hair before I go out because I will almost certainly be recorded for posterity on the mobile phone/camera of some chav hanging out of the rear window of a Nova.

4. Filling up. Takes at least 30 minutes. Two minutes for the fuel and 28 minutes to answer all the questions.

You can just take the splitter off ala M400 from an M12 and that gives you ~140mm.
