The cars been off the road for a good few months now having all the bodywork and things done! it seems a bit sluggish and got distinctly hot yesterday when on a run, I have it booked in for next week but just wondered if the plugs and leads were worth a try.

Nothing to do with the engine was touched when the car was off the road so it can't be anything serious!!

Hopefully!!

Did you notice if the front fans were coming on and off as they should ?

I had a problem where the temp. sensor had failed, meaning the fans did not come on.

Unless you are running considerably more boost than standard (i.e. Double) uprated plugs or leads will make no difference at all. The factory specification plugs and leads are more than sufficent.

Just ensure the plugs are gapped correctly when putting new ones in as the engines are very sensitive to plug gap and you will get misfires if their gapped too large.

Best Regards
