I been offered the following policy:
http://web.ukonline.co.uk/robert.hopewell/war.pdf

Looks pretty Comprehensive, with coverage up to the value of the car and no limit per claim. At £995 (for gilt) not the cheapest, but on the surface one of the most comprehensive
Any Views ?

looks good to me, for the gilt, the lower seems to cover the same as all the others. Can I ask who is offering this?

I need to find some more details out tomorrow to be sure. I have been quoted by a brokers called re-sol I think (email on my work machine) having been passed around a few people, but don't know anything about them. I think the policy is provided by insureonline, I assume that www.in-sureonline.com/ is their website, but it is down for maintenance at the moment so can't check it out.
I'll let you know if I find anymore out.

Still talking to the broker on this, but he basically saying that he has a big meeting with the underwriters on Thursday to try to get a decent policy at a decent price that will be honered at the time of a claim. (This at least gives me some comfort given the debate on other forums about some policies not being properly underwritten)

I asked would there a be a discount if I got a few fellow owners to buy at the same time and he said yes. So if anybody thinks they MAY be interested let me know and I will mail you if I get any definative proposals.
Rob.

Make sure you check those details thoroughly. My car's just come back with a £3500 bill - not one penny of which was covered by the warranty (ball joints, manifolds + other bits & bobs).
I can't afford to put petrol in the damn thing for a week.

Just got a phone call back from the broker. £750 for £2500 limit per claim, or £995 for unlimited up to the value of the car.
Asked the specific question on the exhaust manifold and he said he had checked with the underwriter and it is covered, which is different to every other warranty I have looked at (and what I would have thought given the blerb in the policy)
Anybody interested, I will probably doing this on Monday morning so could do with definitive number to ask about discount.
Rob.

Is that £995 for a 1 year policy??
If it is for 2 would be interested, or what is the price for a 2 year?

Unfortunately that's for one year, two years was £ 1600 - So not cheap but hopefully comprehensive (maybe)

Still thinking about which way to go on this, currently back to thinking about going with Kerridges again. Has anybody had to claim on this autoprotect policy, and if so were you successful ?
Thanks

I have just sorted out a 2 year one with Kerridges. Seems very comprihensive and covers all things like manifolds and ball joints. The only grey area is wether the ball joint (for example) "wore out" or "broke". If it breaks then its covered, but if your doing a trackday every week then it will not be covered. I think the Kerridges one looks "fair". Its relativly well priced and the main thing I feel is that in the event of a claim, if you get the work done at Kerridges too, then they will fight your corner for you as they have a good working relationship with the company.

Just had the call from them mid typing and its now done!

Can't tell you how much I paid really as a 1 year one was included in the sale when I bought the car, but I paid extra to "top up" to 2 years cover as I am thinking I will have the car that long before being too tempted by an M400.
