1500 miles in a 2 year old car. Think I would do that just going to the end of my road and back.

I use mine as a weekend toy and have done 1500 miles in 3 months.

That could be broken down (at a 50 miles an hour average) to having driven your car for only 30 hours in 2 years. Thats a 1 hour drive every 25 days!!

If you take off the 1st 1k running in period (which doesn't count as "fun" then its a 1 hour drive every 73 days!!

You can hardly sell it when you haven't even used it yet??

I take it that your car has had a mileometer for its whole life?

so in two years you've done 1500 miles and your complaining about maintenance costs - which should have amounted to:

Petrol : Not a lot !
1000 mile service : < £100

I'm Scottish mate but even I'm not that tight.

I'm sorry but even though my TVR's kept breaking down I still managed 22500 miles in Cerbera in 18months, 20,000 miles in my first Tuscan in a year and 4500 miles in my second Tuscan in 4 months.

Something just doesn't add up.

i have had various problems over the years most of them new car new company issues, all delt with in the end, however my issues are with getting back up to the service centre in fife,1)poor tracing of what is actually fitted to my car,2)slow or non exhistant warranty authorisation to carry out work.3)having to pay for warranty myself and claim back,4) the latest saga of why 2different wish bones on 1 car and no ball joints availiable so car left to me to get sorted out myself, and still no contact from bob sharp to see if all is well or not,3 years 3 cars means nowt north of the border, the car when it is running is brilliant and worth most of the hassle but when the company wont even call you back (accept that their busy) how long would you put up with it

This is what really concerns me about my car as I live in Edinburgh!! I had some serious problems when I first got my car too and If it wasn't for John at MV working off his own experience I would have been left high and dry at that point!! since then though I have been to the factory and deal with them on a regular basis as I am building my car as a show car so I am constantly on the fone to them for bits and pieces and now have a great relationship with them!! there is now a factory dealers at Hexham which is about 2 hours from edinburgh!! so its closer than the factory and I believe there is going to be a dealers in Edinburgh soon!! so I've heard but not sure if it will happen! I think if the factory done this it would put us Scottish owners minds at ease a bit! even although theres only a handful of us!!

I got my first service due soon so will be in contact with John at MV Turbo's.

I am surprised that we have no Scottish dealer at the moment. Would be good to get one....and a demo M14!

My own sad day took place last week and although I had no reliability issues, I can empathise with what Craig is saying. I too had promises of phone calls from Bob Sharp which never happened and as for the cost of the 1st service, wait till you have the first annual service. My car had done 3000 miles in 12 months and the service cost £700, YES £700. What was was wrong with it you ask? Nothing. I still have 1 outstanding warranty issue, paintwork and was told by my dealer after they had had the car for a week that "The bodyshop is closed" I have had to sell the car with a cracked windscreen which is "On back order" and have now been waiting about 6 weeks for this. My biggest issue is without doubt the residual value, or rather the lack of it. £19 k depreciation in 12 months (price offered by supplying dealer in part exchange) is not acceptable. I am now driving a boring SL500 and feel like I've been stitched up even though I managed to get a better deal by £5.5k, (Yes £5.5k more) from the local Merc dealer on the same spec car offered to me by the supplying Noble dealer. Sad to lose the car but not the cost of ownership. I note there are 42 Noble cars for sale in the Auto Trader at the moment, I wonder why?

Stories like this are making me regret selling the HSV already, and it only went on Wednesday!Never had a service bill bigger than £450 (in fact even with 4 TVRs can't remember one bigger than that) and the HSV lost the same in depreciation in nearly 4 years as the above car lost in 12 months!
Christ I still need to be convinced.
