A few questions
Discussion
Guys, any ideas on the following:
1. I've replaced the indicator lenses with clear ones. However the original appeared to be "bonded" in - do I need to do this with the new ones? If so what do I use?
2. Brake light - got this fixed recently because it only came on during hard braking. Its gone back to the way it was and I wondered if it was easy to adjust?
3. Windscreen wipers - very noisy when sweeping across the glass - apart from Rain Clear has anybody replaced the blades with better ones - recommendations please?
I'm off on a weekend trip and wanted to make sure all was sorted.
Ta.

It'll most likely be corrosion on the bit of the spring contact that sits against the bulb. Undo the nuts and use a sharp blade to cut through the black sealant around the housing. Clean the contact with wet and dry paper or such like.
Then you need some black sealant for to waterproof it after you've finished; I used a loctite product which I now carry around in the car long with some rubber diposable gloves (it's a messy job).

Thanks Richard, I shall get sealant in hand and go investigating.

Do you mean side repeaters? as mine seem to be "glued" to the car.
Yes the side repeaters do appear to be glued in. Since replacing them with clears I'm concerned some little scumbags will try and nick them. It's not too easy when their glued in so if anybody can advise what glue to use it would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I managed to fix the brake lights. It wasn't corrosion it actually was the brake light pressure switch. Simple job really.
