Before we get the inevitable questions relating to Autocar's data panel on page 111 of the current issue, it should read as follows:

PRICE: £55,995
ENGINE: V6, 2968cc, twin-turbocharged
POWER: 425bhp at 6500rpm
TORQUE: 390lb ft at 5000rpm
GEARBOX: 6-speed manual
BRAKES: 330/330mm ventilated discs
ANTI-LOCK: No
WEIGHT: 1060kgs
BHP PER TONNE: 401

The engine is also mid-, not rear mounted (copy on page 110).

Unless you are a well known race driver who writes for circuit driver and insist that the Noble and Elise are rear engined for some reason? I never could uncerstand that.

Something to do with whether the gearbox was entirely in front of the rear axle or something?

It won the sports car category (Porsche 911 Carerra S, Mitsubishi Evo IX, BMW M5, TVR Sagaris) with a time of 13.51 seconds.

Overall, it came 5th out of 27 cars, behind the Ariel Atom Supercharged, the Caterham CSR 260, Westfield 2000S and Ford GT.

Feeling smug that apart from "skateboards with engines" it took a 110k car to beat it, but then it had the Jasper magic appied to both so thar doesn't bother me (plus I would love one!)

With all the bad press coming out of Top Gear about the Ford GT i'm not sure I would like one - sounds very much like the reliability of a TVR by all accounts.

Good result for Noble once again.

Funny you should say that, as all the top gear coverage has done is convince me that a) clarkson is an fool who can't work a tracker with smartcard transceiver b) Ford UK got an idiot to fit the CAT 1 alarm and they made a mess of it!
