Just been thinking (thanks RobP) about my car getting picked up on the flat bed the other day. I said to the driver that I hope to get a call from tracker and I never did. The keys were left in the ignition but only just "pushed in" so the steering lock went off, not actually rotated at all. Do you know if that would be enough to de-activeate the tracker.

I might call them actually to see. The led light was flashing away on the dash when they left meaning the alarm was off but the immobiliser had come on again on its own.

I really thought this would be enough to alert them and to get a call.

Any ideas?

You may have a passive tracker, in that they only look for the car when you tell them to.. ie when you get up in the morning and it's not in the Garage!

Greg -just give them a call. AFAIK ignition has to be switched on to deactivate the TM. But I may be wrong.

Hey, call me paranoid, but is it wise to discuss how your tracker did or didnt work the other morning on a open forum. I thick the way most of the tracker equipped cars get recovered is when the scrout who steals it is unaware it has one installed.
Alex.
