Mine cost 468 quid from duty free dixons in Gatwick last week. I used it straight out of the box in France and found it extremely useful. My first impressions of it it that it's well made and does the job pretty well.
I don't know if that's the cheapest price but at least I left the purchase until I absolutely needed it. I've just downloaded and installed the free scamera database from pocket GPS which looks rather useful!

TomTom absolutly rocks. Personally I've gone for a IPAQ 6340 and TomTom PDA with a bluetooth iSRFII GPS unit (20 hours on a single charge) as it suits me better, but you can't beat it.
Cheapest is probably Maplin at 549, but if you sign up to their newsletter you get 30, or is it 50 (sorry, Maplin seems to be 'banned' by the Chinese government firewall so can't check!) quid off so that's probably the best deal out there - but putting '"tom tom 700" price' into Google will generally hunt out all of the deals out there.

Yes you need tt go 700 to get full europe Martin.
Personally I have the bluetooth and cradle hardwired into my voyager for work which makes the whole bluetooth thing a bit pointless apart from the fact that as I am in and out of the car all day, the GPS stays on all the time so it never takes time to reconnect.
I find it excellent. Only niggles I have are that
1) it sometimes crashes.
Will happen a lotless on th "all-in-one" GO unit.
2) Only 4 digit postcode which is worse than useless in rural parts!
Full postcode on new GO (and navi 5)
3) tunnels and tall buildings (central london) fool it and it looses reception.
New GO 500 and 700 use a new system which keeps tracking where it thinks your going even when you loose reception.
I would say the TT Go 700 is by far the best option for you martin.
Excellent piece of kit.
It is miles better than the factory navigation I used to have in my BMW (2002 model!) But sadly it doesn't have a TV on it!!

I received my TomTom 700 from Maplins on Monday ( £499 with the £50 rebate) and it's faqing fantastic! I've been using the standard BMW satnav up until now but the Tomtom interface is way better. Also has very slick bluetooth integration with my phone.
I went for the 700 as i needed the France cover for my move over there next year and i've tested on a few routes i've used previously. It's been spot-on on each occasion.
Am quite tempted to take it on this weekends trip to Amsterdam for when i get horribly lost after a few halves and want to find my way back to the hotel. It has a special on-foot mode
DanH also has one so i expect he'll add his tuppence worth as well

I've got a "bluemedia Navigon" which cost £200 plus VAT for the UK version which includes speed camera location and access to their site for scamera updates. I leave it on the passenger seat and it's loud enough to direct, so can be hidden when parked up. At the price I am really pleased with it.

As Stu says, the 700 is fabulous. Maplin is the cheapest I know except duty free as they have a 50 quid rebate if you sign up to their email news. I looked at Navigon but the software isn't as good imho. Go for whichever you fancy though!
