Daft question??

Well, I've had the 3R for about 3 weeks now, and surprise, surprise, I absolutely LOVE it! I'm finding it somewhat difficult to drive within the law though; the novelty has definitely not worn off yet!
Anyway, one thing I have not figured out is how to wash my windscreen... When I try to wash it, I can hear the motor whirring, but no washer fluid comes out. The washer resevoir if full so I'm not sure what the problem is. I assume that the fluid should come out of the tubes on the wiper arms, but no joy.
Can anyone lend any advice on this?

It is likely to be an air-lock - remove the output pipe and whilst having someone operate the screen wash button suck until the air is removed and the water pumps out (not pleasant so maybe fill with clean (ie: no chemicals added) water first!
Also, have your dealer fit an in-line one-way valve the next time you are in as this prevents air-locks.

One tip from racing. There's a product called Rainex or something like it. It is used in the rain (doh!) when racing. I don't know what it does but it completely negates the need for the windscreen wipers even in the heaviest rain. The effect is fantastic. I went out in a wet qualifying and Plans put it on the screen and said don't use your wipers. I thought "yeah right" but I could not beleive how effective it was. Basicaly the rain collected together into little rivulets and then just ran off the screen. No spray nothing, just water draining off the screen. The bits between were absolutely clear and the whole effect was a zillion times better than using the wipers.
Well recomended - especialy with the M12's tendency to munch its wipers.

In addition to 'Rainex', the same Company make a product called 'Anti Fog' which prevents the interior from steaming up (works very well)! The Rainex product is fantastic, I used to put in on my Lexus and managed to drive for at least a couple of weeks in driving rain without having to revert to Windscreen Wipers.

Yes to RainEx but needs to be applied monthly. Also note it's good for bath/shower screens!
The downside is you have to keep reapplying it, and when you do use the wipers it smears and is worse than using wipers without it. (the water doesn't clear at lower speeds, so you end up having to use the wipers eventually).
I prefer the alternative "Rain wizard" product. It can be put on when the windscreen is already wet, and doesn't smear quite as much when the wipers are used (IMHO)...
