What you two get up to in your private time is of no concern to us (but do enjoy yourselves)!

Joust - can I take you up on this offer? As you know I wanted to come and take a look anyway. Passenger rides just add to the entertainment...

MrNoble can I get a ride in your car too Mister! (If joust still has the place of course!)

Cheers...

Justin, can i blag a couple of laps as well. The weather is looking good too. Looking forward to this day, got the new exhaust and intercooler fitted, be a good chance to see if they make any differance.

Sure, but only after lunch once I have had my tuition session!!

I might be able to drive properly by then!! (only my 1st real track outing!)

ps. Would love for someone to come in my car with a vid cam for a few laps if anyone has a cam and a few spare minutes of tape!! Then it could get put up onto nobletv.co.uk and I could show my friends and family what this "Trackday" thing is all about! (they don't see the point yet!!)

Remember to take a mount though as any video/camera has to be fixed to the car & def not hand held.

They will - you'll be leaving me for dead on the straights - you can really feel the power drop on the M12 once it gets over 45C inlet and the ECU starts turning the map down.

Yes - you'll need to get there for the signing on.

I'll be there around 8:15am, so make sure you are there before.

If you can't make that, email me your "real" name and your mobile, and I'll send you my mobile. That way I can brief the peeps that you'll be turning up and are my pax.

I am going out for dinner now so text me on the mobile number I gave you if you want to meet up somewhere on the A428 in the AM.

PS.

Does anyone know if from Cambridge its quicker to go along the A14 then down the A45 and A6 or to go from Cambs along the A428 to St. Neots etc and then to Bedford and up the A6?

Any help welcomed.

Also can someone remind me of any thing besides driving liscence, helmet and LoT card that I need to remember.

Thanks. GN

Both parts of driving license
Suncream
Trousers and long sleeved top (they won't let you out in shorts / t-shirt)
Gaffer tape up your power steering fluid container at the top to catch the oil leaking out the breather hole.
Check tyre pressures
Check oil
Check exhaust mounting bracket
Check brake pad thickness (2mm+ usually a good idea!)
Helmet
Take out all the other crap from behind your seats

That's generally all I do.

If you know you're way through Bedford the A428 route can be interesting but you can probably make faster progress on the A45/A6.

There looks like there's an interesting route from St. Neots that cuts out Bedford ... I'll probably give this a go with the TT Navigator some time in the future.

I know a nice twisty route from Buckden via Kimbolton, Pertenhall, Riseley etc.. bit bumpy in places but I've just driven it in the M400 and it's OK (been on a round trip drive out via Highham Ferrers and back )

Just looked at the map. It's got to cut a huge amount out over the A14,A45,A6 route! Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I never see traffic on this cut through either!
