My 3R is just out of warranty by a month and it's already had a busted manifold :-(

Today it's developed a noisy fuel pump. I can only assume it's that because it's coming from the left hand side of the car and the noise is very apparent from the rear air duct near the rear wheel.

Anybody else had this and know what to expect?

Is it a big job, big bill or not?

Oh I guess whilst on the subject a few minor niggles that just don't go away even after dealer involvement many times, anybody got these fixed?

1. Handbrake does not work
2. Door mirrors too slack and disjoint out of position when the doors are closed.

I had a noisy fuel pump...then after a few days it just went away. If it's just a buzzing sound see if it's come lose.

1. The fuel pump is wrapped in foam but it / or the fuel lines may be resonating against the aluminium tray - whip out the arch guard, just self tappers and no need to remove the wheel.

2. I came up with a radical remedy

Well I've left it a day or so and the noise hasn't come back.

The problem appeared after a 200 mile drive.

Wondering if it's anything to worry about?

I think mine started doing it when it got really hot. Come to think of it when I was doing the track day in Denmark it did it too. Must be heat related in my case at least.

The sound is most apparent near the side air intake, I would have thought that it was being kept cool enough but perhaps not.

If the 3R has a pre-filter like the M400 it may be blocked
I have to clean out this filter after a hard track day as the fuel pump starts screaming.John
