I have the road race model and really like it. It can't be used real time for lap times but you can analyze it back on your PC. It depends on how much you want to spend and what you are looking for. It is very easy to install and you can move it from car to car. Dean

GPS based ones will be far more accurate - these accelerometer based ones will be very inaccuate after a typical "lap" due to the integration errors.

These are great for 0-60 or just 'g' metering, but if you want to do any serious analysis then something like the DL1 will be better (but quite a bit more expensive...)
