Has anyone put anti-roll bars on their M12?

From my playing I'd say you only really want it for track work. On our bumpy roads I'd guess that braking would be worse with it on....

No need. With adjustable shocks you can set them up to emulate an ARB. Turn up the slow bump. This hardens the shocks for slow compression and in effect acts like an ARB, stopping roll and dive. My car is much flatter through the corners with its Ohlins than before. I've gone from full on to full off and the difference is really noticeable.

Upgrading the shocks is overall far better than just adding an ARB.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Paul, which Ohlins are you using?

Do they just bolt in or are modifications required?

They come from Plans Motorsport www.plansmotorsport.com/contact/

They are purpose designed for the Noble based on one of those computer rigs where they shake the car to bits.

The word suspension is making me feel a bit sick at the moment !!

Have just spent 3 evenings with Matt trying to hammer a knackered lower ball joint out of the wishbone !!! Rusted in proper it was too !!

What a mare ! - Glad they modified that on the later models !!! Need a new wishbone now due to a moment of rage !

Pain isn't it - made all the more annoying by the fact that back in the workshop I've got all the stuff required to sort it out good and proper....... still you with the sledgehammer was rather an amusing sight

Certainly did......... hence why there's a new lower wishbone now in stock at FP To be fair though the old ball joint had corroded in to the point where I suspect the wishbone would have been scrap anyway once it was removed.

Usualy for lower wishbone ball joints or bushes that are original on cars over 2 years old we tend to just change the entire wishbone as when you take labour into account it works out at a lower cost.

Is there a maintenance practice that would keep this from happening so it would be easy to remove them when needed?

You can run a thin smear of copper grease around the circlip under the ball joint to stop this rusting in and causing problems but the ball joints themselves are an interference fit into the wishbone so any form of lubrication wouldn't be best practice.

Obes car is number 8 and has been used pretty much daily in UK weather so unless your car has to deal with salt on the roads in winter and the like the chances are you won't have an issue.

Best Regards
