Aircon Failure - Any Ideas?
Discussion
Aircon working very well - too well in fact so I attempted to turn the temp up just a fraction .... Fan now only blows red hot air and cannot be turned down! I can hear the aircon pump clicking on and off and the little light illuminates but definitely no cooling! Any ideas on what to check first?
Heater knob itself and then the respective air flow valve obviously quite likely ... where is it located? Hoping for a quick fix as it will be a while before I can take it anywhere ...
Any help or ideas gratefully received!

Drive belt not slipping
Compressor is engaging
Cold pipe to heat exchanger in front is getting cold
All fuses in footwell Ok
But turning temp control knob does not seem to affect temp at all - Heater is permanently 'on'...
Can I move the valve manually to revert to an aircon always on situation until I can get it fixed properly?

I had some difficulty with mine as well. You can access the aircon valve manually from underneath the car. There's a removable panel in the center under where the dash is located. When you remove the panel there will be numerous hoses obstructing your view. Reach through and above them is the valve. Your cable is likely not secured by the clamp. You can either fix it, or move the valve manually twice a year
