What is the black glue material that holds the mesh grills on front and rear clams. A couple of the mesh vents are pulling away slightly and I need to refix them. Where can I buy it. This must be a fairly common problem.

Also I need to re-route the throttle cable, I know this is a factory mod, but could it be a DIY job. What is proceedure.

Re the mesh grilles - AFAIK it is black silicon (same as what holds the 3R/M400 headlight top covers in).

Others will be able to comment on the throttle cable routing but I can add that they rerouted mine upwards so as NOT to sit on the forward turbo unit and melt (as it did!)

Mastic doesn't set, it just forms a skin.

Tiger Seal is your best bet, its a polyurethane sealant and adhesive.

Product code for black is: TIG/NB

Data sheet here: www.u-pol.com/countries/en/downloads/tds/tigerseal.pdf

Any body shop supplier should be able to sort you out with a tube.

Best Regards
Matt

Anyone see it on "A car is born" earlier? Used to stick the ali mesh grills on the Cobra replica.

Martin.
