Well it's been at least a week since we last talked about polish so I thought I'd drag it back up again !!!

I got a Zymol kit for my birfday and finally got round to giving it a go.....
Bloody hell it's hard work ! Pretty good results though I must admit, and the garage now smells like a tart's handbag !

Just realised this is worthless without a pic ! ill sort one.

I'm now a convert to Williams Formula 1 Carnuba(?) wax from Halford's. Under £10 a bottle, goes on and off very easy and fast, looks superb and smells nice too!

Rob. The number of times you polish your car it probably wouldn't matter if you used £1.99 special....

For the rest of us that can't be arse to spend every day polishing the car, either Swissol or Zymol are excellent at longevity if somewhat expensive.

This : www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=8040 is an excellent 'halfway' house, particularly if you use this www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=8039 before.

I've yet to really find the difference between that and my 10+ times more expensive Swissol apart from I'm not convinced the Omega stuff lasts quite as long.

One thing I really notice after I used Swissol treatment, is when it come to washing the car in areas where there are bugs splattered, (front, mirrors and wing tips) is how easily the bug splats wash off compared to any other car with regular polish.

Cheers,
Ian.

re. Zymoling. Has anyone tried, as advertised on
"ebay, under parts and accessories" the 5 star paint protection ie., "PPS" ?
Said to be good for 5 years with one application,
price 50 bucks. The spec. alone sparkles. I'm surprised it was not mentioned after the 8th October
topic entered by "obes".

The only things that I've heard of are polymer coatings, and they are closer to 250 quid. Also not entirely convinced by them.

My current plan is to pay this zymol detailer to come and do my car, because I've realised life is too short to spend all weekend polishing! Once its done properly washing the car is a lot easier, and he'll come and do top up work for a lot less to keep it ticking over.
