It looks like the inside of the Corn Exchange in the City. I did an event there in 2003, but can't remember who organised it.

Would be very interested to know, either way - there are two Nobles on display and neither belongs to the factory.

...I mean the Royal Exchange.

I joined Noble in June 03 and when I covered the event later that year I was told that Noble had helped out once before. My theory is that the car pictured is the very first 3R ever built, which was used for all development (but not press) for that model - I remember the wheels having a silver outer, like the one pictured. My predecessor must have set this one up. The other car is undoubtedly a then current GTO-3.

For the anorachs among you, if I'm correct about that car, it continued to be used by us as a development hack, doing all the testing for the M400 range (when it was re-registered 'M400 GTO'). When that was complete, it morphed into the race car that we used in the Yokohama Mid Engine & 750MC championships in 04. It then morphed even more radically into the Britcar racer for the 05 season (although, apart from a few bits of bodywork, most of it had been chucked away and replaced with new engineering).

Well I have been here, just had nothing Noble to say on account of not having one currently.

Yep gearbox problem occured a few months ago now, car sat in the garage looking very sad. I'm just waiting for Matt to find me a box/slot and collect the car and sort it out. In fairness we have both been busy but I want to get it fixed now, sooner rather than later, hence the post. Matt doesn't seem to be responding to emails.

I know I'm showing my age, and I never had one just watched the film, but isn't 'Have you got your ears on' an old CB term??

So Matt can you give me a call asap.

Had to content myself with driving the CSL although that can be interesting on a frosty morning!

Paul,

You have mail.

We are currently moving premisis and as such I will only have sporadic e-mail access for the next few days.

Sincere apologies for any delay in replying and normal service will be resumed shortly.

Best Regards
Matt

Hi Matt,

Got that, no problem and good luck with the move!

I like the Noble Forum but there is a helluva lot of fun to be had posting on the BMW and Land Rover sites about who has the best 4x4, almost as emotive as the old TVR vs Noble arguments.

The sooner I get my gearbox fixed the better I think.
