it appears to be coming from the exhaust manifold which is hidden from view by a piece of aluminium sheet.
whats the diagnosis?

Blue smoke indicates burning oil, so depending where the smoke is coming from either it's burning oil or you have an external oil leak.

Probably sorts out the Xmas present dilemma from my wife this year!

You sure it's not the turbo oil feed or return leaking or the gasket between manifold and turbo?

My hose coming off the turbo oil return got hot and developed a small leak. The oil dripping on the manifold made an incredibly efficient smoke screen. I called it the "James Bond" option.

If this is the problem, Noble now makes a longer oil return nipple coming off the turbo so the hose is a few more inches away from the turbos. Seems fine now.
