Is that blaze yellow? there has been a 2.5 m12 in that colour on autotrader for a while. It is an odd combination as it's 2.5 in a rare colour with a 3r front end!

Wonder where/why they got that 3R front end

Surely you'd either have to be stupidly rich or have trashed the front end of a 2.5l to want/need to stick a 3R front on it given the unpainted clam is 2k+???!!!

I agree with Joust, must have been front ended. This has been for sale for ages, may be one of the reasons.
Incidently I have a yellow M12 GTO, looks like a bowl of custard and also matches my hair.

I'd imagine the repairer or dealer just ordered one.

I'm sure if you ask/tell the factory you want a 3R front end for a 3 then they will tell you no, but if you just ordered one as a dealer/repairer.....

Unless the got the front clam from a 'tail ended' 3R ?

I've seen a few Nobles which have been rear ended.

Also, the front clam is repairable, so they may have picked up a damaged one and repaired it.

As for the car, well I think it looks fab, although I think the car gets enough attention without it being yellow !!!!

Am I mis-reading you or the post before. I assume you're referring to an unknown autotrader ad in which the car is a 2.5 with a 3R front, because the car in the picture referenced above is obviously a brand new M400 which, yes, are available in South Africa.

I know where this car has come from.

The reg is M12 GTD, which looks a bit like GTO from a distance. It was Williams Bristol's demo car, and as I recall was sold shortly after they spammed my car by installing a duff ECU (Bitter ? me ?).

It had a 2.5L front the last time I saw it, but given that Williams are a noble dealer they may have managed to wangle a 3R front for it.

Seem's a lot of money for a 2.5 without a warranty, not surprised they are struggling to sell it!!
