How many new cars do Noble sell in the UK each year.I recently spoke to a dealer who said that he had not sold a new 3r/400 in the last twelve months, other than his own demo cars if you count that.

Could that be the reason why they require the new funding to finish the M14 project as in the post,M14 below.

I had a GTC on order for nearly 3 years and that to was very slow arriving.Actually it never did!!!

The products are great but it must be hard to keep finding new customers in a niche market in the UK.Are they intending to go further into Europe with the M14.Is this how thwy will achieve the 600-700 target cars they want to sell per anum by 2009.It would seem to be a big number for the UK market only.

Obviously Noble can't go anywhere in Europe due to the massive investment required in meeting all the regulations of individual countries.I guess ther are several place where they could go though?

Interesting times, can't wait to see the final M14 spec!!!

Funding is needed in all businesses that grow - no surprises there.

SVA limits them to 250 cars.

No idea who the dealer is that you spoke to, but Moley doesn't seem to have any issue shifting new M12's.

Mikey? Do you mean Mike K? Yep - he's still around.

Since they let go new TVR sales they seem to be doing cracking trade in high end second hand cars, they seem to be getting a good run of quality Ferraris in lately.

Not sure to which dealer your referring, but I'm not aware of any that have sold no cars in the last year. For sure, there has been a dip in sales, but that's inevitable as potential and existing customers wait to see the new model unveiled.

Gaining full European Type Approval is crucial in order to achieve the production figures mooted - and that's why we have sought funding. Any kind of type approval is a lengthy and expensive business (so the new car will not have it from launch, and only be sold in the UK) but it's important for our long-term stability that we have a car in our range that is less 'niche', without being at all mainstream.

Simon,
You keep saying "new car" Can you at least tell us if the "new car" is designated M14 or not?

Who cares what it's called? I'd be equally happy with a M14 or a Kundiguna given the snippets that Simon's told us and the press about the performance, comfort and packaging of it!

Can't wait. Can't wait. Can't wait.

As I am considering a used 3R at the moment (had a drive on Saturday ........ wow !! )What is the general opinion on how the new M14 will either affect or enhance used values of M12's ?? Will there be long lead times for the new car or will they be availible quite quickly ?? Will the price be significantly more ?? Any thoughts out there ??

The new model will run along side the M12/M400 in our range, and has been designed to appeal to a different market than that in which the current cars reside. It will be circa £75k, so a good £20-25k more expensive than the M12/400, and we already have orders that will mean new purchasers having to wait until '07 for delivery.

Our feeling is that the new car will create an aura across the range, thanks to its broader appeal, and that can only be good for the long-term residual values of existing cars.

Especially when you have to run one into a brick wall at a rate of knots in the interests of occupant safety.....

Thanks for the honest reply Simon.Nice to know that I was on the right track.I thought 700 for the uk would be pushing it although 700 for Europe sounds a good possbility.

Lack of Uk sales could be a good thing for residuals at the moment anyway. As later stock becomes harder to find prices should firm, this should help push buyers back into new cars thus feeding the animal.

Good luck with the M14 and please release those details soon!!!
